Chiara Scarfò is a PhD candidate in Social and Political Change (XL cycle) at the University of Turin and the University of Florence. She holds a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Turin and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Roma Tre University. During her studies, she completed an internship at the Italian Embassy in Tehran and worked as an editor at the research center Geopolitica.info. Her doctoral research focuses on the traces of the colonial border that once separated the Spanish-controlled territory from the French protectorate in southern Morocco, as well as on the dynamics of advanced regionalization affecting the area. Alongside her academic work, she pursues her passion for divulgation through collaborations with international politics journals, where she explores issues related to non-conventional forms of political participation and gender politics in the SWANA region.
